Become a Jazz at Five Performer
Jazz at Five is a free neighborhood concert series with 2,000 - 3,000 people attending each night. We seek applications from bands whose sound a style work well in an outdoor festival setting. New in 2022 the Jazz at Five Performance Series will be six shows split between McKee Farms Park in Fitchburg and the 100th block of State St, downtown Madison. Each event will have a professional sound system and sound engineer. The 2022 season’s dates are: July 27th, August 3rd, August 10th at Mckee Park. August 17th, 24th and 31st on the corner of the Capitol and State St. The performance times for each evening are 5pm-6:15pm or 6:45-8pm. Must be off the stage at 8pm. Typically, a youth group performs from 4:00 to 4:30 on the same stage. Jazz at Five aims to support our local music community and seeks to book groups that include performers local to and/or associated with the Dane County area. Bands booked for the series must email Jazz at Five a stage plot at least two weeks before the performance date. For full consideration for the 2022 performance season – you will need to provide the following information by March 11th

Jazz at Five seeks to present a representative and diverse program that features all aspects of our community and welcomes applications that include members from groups that have been historically excluded in the art form. Optionally, you are encouraged to include a statement of how your application furthers this goal.
