Joey B. Banks is a music entrepreneur, a 2-time Grammy-nominated drummer, and the 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2020 Madison Area Music Association Drummer of the Year. He graduated from the Musicians Institute of Technology in Hollywood California and is a proud Madison Scout Drum and Bugle Corps Alumni.

Joey B. specializes in Drum kit, Marching/Percussive Arts, Music Education, Artist Development, and Artist/Band Bookings, and a “talent seller” for his entertainment and promotions business, JBent Productions

An advocate for youth in the performing arts, Joey B. currently teaches private lessons for 20 drum students as Founder and Director of the award-winning youth ensemble, Black Star Drum Line. He is a member of the planning committee for Overture Center Arts Education Roundtable, a Professional Teaching Artist for the Madison School, and has done residencies, workshops, and clinics in local elementary, middle school, and high schools in Madison and surrounding areas.

These days you can see Joey B. performing with his bands; The Funkee JBeez, and JB3s. Joey B also performs with Steely Dane, Nashville artist Gabe Burdulis, and the legendary Madison Rock band Honor Among Thieves.
