The Tom Gullion – Doug White Quartet brings fresh interpretations of jazz classics by Wayne Shorter, Duke Ellington, Chick Corea, and other legendary composers, alongside original compositions. Since 2022, the quartet has performed at regional jazz festivals and premier jazz clubs throughout the Midwest.

Tom Gullion – Saxophone & Flute

An innovative saxophonist and flautist, Tom Gullion is known for adventurous improvisation and a distinctive sound that blends tradition with creativity. His work has earned him an international reputation as both a performer and collaborator.

Doug White – Piano & Organ

A longtime fixture of the Madison jazz scene, Doug White is celebrated for his expressive playing and international performances. Early in his career, he collaborated with artists including Clyde Stubblefield and Brian Lynch.

Mark Urness – Bass

A highly respected bassist with experience in both jazz and classical music, Mark Urness also teaches bass and jazz studies at Lawrence University’s Conservatory of Music.

Dane Richeson – Drums & Percussion

One of the region’s most versatile percussionists, Dane Richeson has performed with artists including Bobby McFerrin, Joe Lovano, Geoffrey Keezer, Roscoe Mitchell, Medeski Martin & Wood, Kenny Wheeler, and Danilo Perez.
